No, somehow tanners always stain my clothing. As I get older, tanning just isn't important to me. I wished I would have avoided the sun when I was younger, at 50, you really start to notice wrinkles, spots, etc.

Not really, but will do a spray tan for a special occasion which seems to be a rarity these days.

I use Jergen's glow. I use a moisturizer the rest of the year anyway so its no extra effort or time to substitute one for the other.

I wouldn't ever do that, don't want to do that, and I don't like the look of fake tanned people, either. Too many other important things to do during daily life to put so much time into looking "tanned". Just my opinion..........

the Jergen's self tanner does okay for me. I use it just to get a little color, which takes about 5 days in the beginning. After that I'll use it every 2nd or 3rd day to keep the look.

I haven't tanned in years (and NEVER used a tanning bed). I had a melanoma removed from my shin in 2011, so I definitely avoid extensive sun now

I have seen the tanning sprayers etc but I would be worried about turning out orange or too dark..

In my humble opinion..I think tanning beds, and all lotion's etc are a gimmick..It you are outside working you will tan up naturally..thats what God intended..not something commercial. Besides..why waste my money on something that brings harmful end results.

No. I don't think that tans (either natural or fake) look good.

No way. I went to tanning beds when I was in my twenties (25 years ago). Thank god someone talked some sense into me.

I used to be a tanner, then got lazy and did tanning booth, but now I've decided I've tempted fate long enough so just recently got some "Tan Towels" from HSN that I'm going to try.

nope never..

My friends keep telling me I need to "tan" before my wedding blessing only because all these dresses are strapless LOL

But the tans I get is in the sun naturally for when I am in my garden landscaping or outside working from home by sitting out on my deck.. I don't even apply sunscreen because it takes away the important rays that you must have for vitamin D, and I haven't been able to find any sunscreen that blocks out just one kind of ray... and I don't wish to take Vitamin D Pills just to make up for it..

I did try the lotion thing once and man did I ever stink and turn like a ompa lumpa willy wonka kind of character LOL

No. I do try to get outside in the warm months for my vitamin D. Just a few minutes. I take Vitamin D supplements too. I think sun exposure now days to achieve a tan is not good for your health. Tanning beds are not safe either, in my opinion.

No. I've given up on tanning period. At my age who cares if I'm tan or not. I'm 74 and whatever tan I get from gardening is it.

NO !!!!!
As a teen I would spend the day at the beach with friends who wanted to lie under the sun with only the protection of baby oil. I stopped that early on. Today their skin is far more aged than mine. The stuff out of bottle doesn't look natural to me. And I would rather have healthy skin than color.

Yes, sometimes I do. I don't think it makes me look slimmer though. It just makes me look more the way people think you should look in the summer. The brands I use look fairly natural and not orange.

I am not one to lie out in the sun. It bores me and I just don't. Also, if I am out, I put on sunscreen that is not likely to allow me to get much of a tan.

Funny how recently we had a thread about the huge amount of sunscreen you are supposed to put on, even under your clothes, and how you should apply it extremely often.

I have never been to a tanning bed. I would rather be white or use fake bake than put myself through that amount of risk of getting skin cancer. On the other hand, I am not going to obsess over putting on tons of sun screen if I do go out. I put it on the exposed parts and try to reapply after a reasonable amount of time if I'm out for a long time, riding, hiking or whatever. I do think it generally works because it seems to prevent burning, but also prevents tanning.

Any sun where you are? Natural sun gives you a much more attractive tan than a tanning bed. I'm in a sunny state so don't need the tanning bed but I have seen people with it and you can always tell.

Not worth my time! It certainly doesn't make me feel slimmer...but it is nice not to feel like everyone is staring at my white, sometimes bruised, somewhat spider-veined legs if I don't want to wear I used to try it once in a while. Now, I just go as is, or wear the pantyhose!

PS long dresses are so nice! :)

I'm wondering if anyone self tans or gets spray tans, I know when you have a tan you look slimmer and you feel good about yourself, but I want to do it in a safe way and so sick of turning orange hahaha
