I think I do. My exercise allows me to wear a size 6. I weigh more than most women who wear a size 6.

My sister is amazed I weigh almost as much as her. I exercise; she doesn't. So, I guess I have more muscle weight.

4/30/10 2:50 P

Yes, no one can believe that I weigh what I do, they think I weigh less. I think I look huge though.

It's true. A person can look thinner than what a scale says. Remember, a scale can't determine your lean body fat percentage. Someone who carries a lot of muscle will be heavy on a scale, BUT they look and be lean.

A body builder is considered morbidly obese by BMI standards. However, a body builder with 5% body fat is hardly overweight.

Another point, some people carry their weight differently then others. If your friend carries all their weight in their hips, they may look fat. However, someone with fat that is evenly distributed over their body may look thin.

133 isn't ridiculously high for a short female [unless you mean under 5' short--I'm 5'2"]. I'm shooting for 137. I've been there and I look and feel really good at that weight.

I mean no the scale doesn't lie, necessarily it says what it says. But there's a reason why people at different heights have healthy ranges. My range for my height is 118-150, but because I'm medium boned I'm actually supposed to weigh 133, which seems ridiculously high for a short female, but the doctor has spoken lol.

I've always been told at 185 that I look 150 and now at 135 that I look 120... who knows.. people's perception changes too

Scales do lie. What we weigh isn't the be all and end all. I think I look thinner than the numbers on the scale say. Others seem to think I do, too. I'm healthier and fitter than a lot of thinner people. so the numbers on the scale don't tell the whole story.

I was wondering about this......

I was talking to a coworker the other day. She's the same height as I am (5'6") and she is maybe 4 years younger than I am.

She was complaining on how fat she is. I looked at her and told her that she was crazy, and I wish I was "fat" like her (lol).

Well, she told me how much she weighed and I told her my weight, which is 40 lbs heavier than she is!

She said that she couldn't believe it, that I don't look like I weigh that much (well thank you)...but the numbers don't lie.

So, have you been told you look thinner that what your scale says? emoticon
