Yes, I do the very same thing! I've eaten the same breakfast for the past 3 weeks and my lunches don't very much from day to day either. I need to change it up.

But yes, I do things in a similar fashion. I find a few recipes that my family likes and rotate those throughout the week but I will make them over and over again for months! Then we get tired and I find another "batch" of recipes. I eventually make my way back to my original stuff though. A little adobo and sazon goes a LOOOOOONG You can put that stuff on almost any meat and toss it in a frying pan with a little cooking spray or in the oven, cook up some rice or potatoes and boom you've got a meal... lol

We love our rice and potatoes in my house! I try to limit how much we eat in one sitting though. I also "almost always" add a veggie side as well. Sometimes I get lazy and say here's some rice and beans.. eat it and be

That's pretty much me! But I grew up that way. I love my mother, but she was no cook. Basically, she had about 4 meals, which she would rotate through every few months. So I can eat the same thing Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, for months. On the up side, there isn't a lot of fussing when it comes to the rest of the week. I just make a huge pot of Whatever, and I portion it out and eat if for the next couple of weeks. And it makes meal tracking a real breeze, because I know that what I had yesterday is what I'll have today and tomorrow, etc.

The big problem I have is when I do get tired of it and I'm ready to move onto something else. I kinda have brain freeze when it comes to thinking up something else to make. I would keep circulating through the same 3-4 recipes. That is why I like the Spark's recipes, it gives me ideas on new things to try. I have also started requesting cook books as gifts (birthdays and Christmas) and searching online for new ideas.

this happens to me all the time... I like something... get on a kick for it.... than not at all... haven;t had eggs in 3 weeks and I was into soft boiled, before that mushroom omelets and now protein whey smoothies with berries and avocado... was on an avocado kick before that fish sticks... before that tuna and salmon...

Yep! I'll get stuck on something I like and eat it until I get burned out. I am single, so no one to care if I eat the same thing for dinner for a week straight. Haha.

Yes, I am definitely like that! I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as it's healthy food. For awhile I was on an oatmeal-every-morning kick, it was just what I craved, now I'm on an egg-and-zuchhini for breakfast kick. Also I will go months eating a salad every time for lunch and then I get tired of it and switch to soup and half sandwich for awhile.

I make my daughter a sandwich every day for lunch. For the last year she has only wanted peanut butter and jelly. Now she says she's done with that and only wants tuna, and that will probably last for at least 6 months. One year she ate nothing but turkey sandwiches for lunch all year. Maybe we as humans are just like that.

Even though I do freeze things, I do tend to "batch" eat - meaning I get a bunch of ingredients and use them frequently.

However, for me, I believe it may be seasonal - specific produce items are only available at certain times of the year (fresh) and I tend to make the most of it

Almost anything is freezable, its preventing freezer burn and the defrosting that gets tricky. Preventing freezer burn is as simple as making sure there is as little air as possible in the container that you're freezing. I generally defrost something by leaving it in the fridge overnight and then heat it to temperature at dinner time. Google 'batch cooking.' There will be a ton of recipes designed to be made at once and frozen in portion sizes.

I do this, as well. I'm single, so I usually make a couple of dishes on the weekends for the week, and eat them for my meals. I sometimes will make the dish a couple of times in a row, especially if I have an ingredient that may go bad (and I like it). And I have maybe 25-30 dishes that I rely on with maybe a core 5-8 that I make over and over.

I think for me it is a convenience thing as well. Although I do not work outside my home I am kept quite busy. So quick and easy meals are my FAV. I find something simple that tastes good and I'm like, yeah this'll work for a while. And off I go into a

I do this. Mostly because I have to - singleton here, but I recently did this with a recipe that didn't REQUIRE me to eat multiple servings, I just WANTED to - lol. I had it for lunch, then lunch and dinner, then lunch again. I think once for breakfast and I am having it tomorrow night with a small change for dinner.

This happens to me specifically with tuna melts. I can go months and months without having a tuna melt, and then someone talks about a great tuna melt they had and I suddenly need one immediately, and every day after that for a week. I wouldn't even say it's in my top 5 favorite foods - I just crave a tuna melt if I think about it too hard. XD

I tend to do this more out of convenience than anything else. I find something that works for say, lunches at work, and I will stick with that because it gets routine and easy to put it together since I always have the ingredients on hand. I make small changes (ie adding different vegetables or spices) to keep it interesting while keeping the base the same.

So I seem to eat certain foods in "spurts" I get a snack or a small meal that I like, and then I eat the same damn thing almost every day for weeks or even a couple of months. Then, suddenly I don't want to eat it anymore and I switch to something else. hahahaha. It's so stupid, I know if I just took the time to mix it up I wouldn't get tired of one particular food. But it seems that it's all I have a taste for and nothing else seems appetizing. Does this happen to anyone else??
