I know this seems crazy, considering the ratio below says 1 teaspoon of stevia = 1 cup sugar, but i have a recipe for a faux cheesecake where it calls for 3/4 cup stevia. I made it as directed and it turned out really good, not overly sweet, no bitter aftertaste. Perfect way to satisy a sweet tooth and not feel too guilty. Any thoughts on this? If I made it again should I do it the same? The package of stevia was pretty expensive and this used half of it alone

The stevia powder referred to in this chart is the pure form,
or the liquid made from the pure powder.

SUGAR Equivalent Stevia powdered Equivalent Stevia liquid c
1 cup 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon 1/4 teaspoon 6 to 9 drops
1 teaspoon A pinch to 1/16 teaspoon 2 to 4 drops

Besides tasting good, stevia has no calories, a zero glycemic index (meaning it has no carbs), no artificial ingredients, and no effect on blood sugar.

no. they do not. It is a ratio of stevia to sugar but i can't exactly remember. There are conversion tables on the internet. If you use too much Stevia you get a really bitter aftertaste.
The liquid is the same. Know the ratio before using it. i always start with less than the ratio states and then add more if necessary. I find that 1/2 a packet of Stevia is plenty sweet.

I purchased the splends blend and not sure if this is the same as stevia? Does anyone know? Also has anyone used the liquid sweetner?
