keep in mind that before you lose the fat that you have been burning, your fat cells take on water and hormones to help with fat metabolism. Then all of a sudden you will drop a few pounds, usually around the time you would normally have your period. Don't give up, but don't starve, your body will use up muscle tissue, making harder for you to lose weight.

Since you are a 20 yr. Lifetime member, you know how this kind of thing goes, and it doesn't go like a computer where you punch stuff in and it comes out the way you want every time. I'm almost 67, and the exercise is a big factor, almost more important than eating the boring same old healthy foods. Just keep on plugging at it, day in and day out, meal by meal. Easier said than done, that is why we come back over and over though. A fact of life. Not unusual...................don't fret so much, and maybe keeping tight records is not for you.

Hi, Cheryl !

I give all new members and anyone who will listen to me one piece of advice and it's this,"Don't look at good health or weight loss with an all or nothing mentality". If the only healthy thing you did for yourself today was drink 8 glasses of water, that's still a step in the right direction. Every little bit really does make a difference.

Remember, there is more to good health than a number that stares at us from between our toes in the morning. There are plenty of health changes the scale can't measure. Example, are you sleeping better ? do you have a bit more energy ? Can you walk up stairs without getting tired ? can you carry more bags of groceries ? can you walk a mile faster or farther than you could a month ago ?

How's your blood pressure ? Do you know that if your blood pressure dropped in the last month, your doctor would be thrilled even if you didn't lose any weight. Lowering your blood pressure is a HUGE health benefit.

So, don't assume something is wrong because the scale isn't moving as fast as you'd like. Weight loss is a slow steady process that takes time. And yes, it can be down right boring and mundane. that's why you need to keep plugging along. don't let the normal fluctuations of the scale get you down. it's part of the process.

Patience, it's a virtue. Be kind to yourself as you would to others.

Don't give up....My first week I had a loss, but then my following week I did not. It can be discourging but just keep on going, because you will see results. Also, double check your manual input foods, I had a HUGE error on mine. I had read the bag wrong, Best of luck.

I started tracking my food last week and measured and weighed every bite of my food. I was so hoping to show a loss today. I am a lifetime ww member that has at least 20 pounds to lose. I did drink my water too. I am 65 years old. I just have to get over what the scales say and keep tracking those calories and staying within my food calorie range. I know exercise is important too. I only got in some walking at the stores this week. Well, I feel better just acknowledging my concerns. Hopefully, I will show a loss soon. Tks! Cheryl
