Eating away from home is a big challenge. Sodium is a major concern, plus added fats and sauces. I am trying to cut down my meals out to one treat a week, but with a demanding job, and grandkids to watch, it's tough. I try to think of every time I say no to hitting the drivethru as another trophy.

The conversation and people can be good for laughs and motivation...a little dessert is fine!

FEELINGS don't have to rule our lives. My husband is a VERY emotional person who never ever tried to control his feelings. If he was MAD, he broke up stuff, and yelled \because he FELT mad. I use to tell him that KUNG FU experts learned to control FEELINGS (mostly fear) and that was the whole purpose of the art. He never wanted to learn anything else about dealing with emotions, which I found strange. I did't want emotions to run my life, because they can change like the wind.
So, FEELING guilt is just a feeling. Tell that VOICE in your head that Roger Gould, M.D. calls "Harriet" to stop nagging you and don't listen to her as she's a liar. I am sure you are back on track today.

Today we were at friends all day. We had dinner and dessert. I wanted to enjoy myself so I ate the same as everyone else. I didn't overdo it. And I had a little dessert. But still I feel guilty --like I cheated. emoticon
