I weight myself every day and keep track of it. I helps me stay focused.
Nevertheless, I try to avoid getting frustrated by it by using a 7-day moving average to track weight loss trend. There are good days and there are bad days, but the moving average gives you a more steady number.
I have tried to do only a weekly weight-in, but if for any reason the day you track your weight was a bad day (i.e. water retention, constipation, bad sleep night), you might think the whole week was a bad one, and maybe it really wasn't.
So daily weight-ins, but keeping track of moving average, not the specific number of the day.

I have dropped weigh in frequency to once per week. Once I get adjusted to losing 1 to 2 lbs per week . . . monthly weight checks may become the new normal for me.

Daily, to keep me honest, but I only compare my progress with the week before, not the day before.
I started on the 6th of January 2009 and therefore have my self imposed official weigh-ins on the 6th of each month. But I do step on it every now and then to gauge which direction I am going so I can adjust anything at that time.

I weigh myself too often, probably 3 times a week. It doesn't help me but I just can't help myself.

In the past, I used to weigh myself daily and it would often drive me insane. I am going to try to only weigh once or twice a week this time.
My scales have been telling me my %body fat is between 28 and 30 for years. Pretty much independent of my weight which has varied from 160 to 175 over the same time.

Not Daily, maybe every other week or so. I like to cehck my body fat % more but even thats not often. I think its better to see results in your workouts/energy levels

So, lots of opinions, some get motivation from weighing, some from not weighing. Once again, we are all different and it pays to take the time to figure out what works for you and then go with it!

Twice a week is more than enough for me. I'll probably reduce this to once per week.
I drive myself nuts when I weigh in daily. I understand daily fluctuations from a logical standpoint, but those daily weight fluctuations can be a real motivation killer for me.

I find the daily does help to keep me accountable yet is frustrating at the same time when it doesn't move or goes in the wrong direction.
Then I remember bigger picture...SP works! Trust it and make the right choice.

I never weigh in unless I must as a part of the Dr. Check up. No reason to do so. If you count cal. every day, it is impossible not to drop in weight. The one or two confirmations per year is all that is required.
I'm way too compulsive to weigh in daily. Once a week for me. Broke my leg and had to go two weeks till I could balance on the scales.
When I do weigh I take 3 weights and average, as my scales are not very accurate especially when 90% or more of my weight is on one foot.

Daily for me. I used to weigh in weekly, too much stress and felt like crap if I gained. Now I weigh in daily, and forget the fluctuations, I watch the graph over time. It just seems more beneficial to me and a lot less stress!
I'm one of the guys who benefits from daily weigh ins. I can see when slippage is occurring and where I simply have not been careful enough in estimating calories or exercise. Then, too, there are times when a salty evening meal is holding on to more water, or there's still food in the system. Small daily changes don't bother me, but trends catch my attention early!

Very helpful for me to weigh in. I have a pretty good understanding of my weight fluctuation on a daily basis so I weigh myself whenever I have the chance, and compare regularly to comparable times of day weight.

I think it all depends on the person. I can weigh myself every day and be okay with it, but my wife cannot. I can see the extra 1-2 pounds and understand that it's water. She, on the other hand, sees it as personal failure. With daily weight loss, it's important to know your personality and make decisions that will keep you motivated. If you'll be upset by the daily fluctuations, weigh yourself in once a week. If you like knowing where you are every day, by all means do it.

I do every morning after getting up and visiting the bathroom.
Although, I am aware that it can vary 1-1.5kg between days, depending on how much food is in my stomach, how much water is in my body. For changes, I focus on the long term red line in the weigh in report.
I recommend to by an Omron scale that measure body fat and other persentages, as the weight it self is only the surface of the changes. It might be that the weight is constant, but fat-muscle ratio is changing, or the water % changes.
I think it has been critical to my success and or failures. I started this program last April and went from 253 lbs. to @ 210 lbs. during the course of 4 months. I got out of the habit of weighing daily and then other items in the program became secondary to importance. Up the weight went to @ 226 by the end of January. I then recommitted myself to daily weigh ins along with an overall committment to the rest of my program. I am now down to 190 lbs and close to my goal weight.
It is part of the equation for me that works and I find myself slacking a bit if I miss a day or two of weigh ins.
My program is fairly simple:
Weigh in daily calories of @ 2000 per day(3 balanced meals daily) 3 to 4 quarts of water a day exercise of minimum of 90 minutes a day limeted sweets. only 5 or 6 beers per week read fitness and health information daily(mostly on Spark people) lots of rewards for reaching 5 lb weight loss intervals.
I would say the cornerstone of my foundation has been starting daily with a weigh in!!
