I love my crockpot and use it 1 or 2 times a week at minimum!

Chili is excellent in the crock pot - 1 pound of extra lean ground beef or turkey (browned), onion, bell pepper, garlic, 2 cans kidney or black beans, 2 cans diced tomatoes, salt, pepper, 2 TBSP chili powder or to taste

Fiesta chicken is really good too - 1 pound of chicken breast, 1 can corn, 1 can black beans, 1/2 to 1 cup of salsa. After crockin' all day, shred or chop the chicken and serve over brown rice.

Shredded BBQ pork - pork tenderloin and a bottle of BBQ sauce. Shred and serve on whole wheat buns or over brown rice

Taco soup - browned lean ground beef or turkey OR chicken, 1 packet low sodium taco seasoning, 2-3 cans low sodium beef or chicken broth, onion, bell pepper. Serve with a few baked tortilla chips on top

I'm not a fancy cook but I love to put a whole chicken or pork roast in the crock pot with whatever seasonings your family likes--usually no need to add water. Do it in the morning and you have a tender juicy main dish for supper that night--all while you work inside or outside your home. Add barbeque sauce and buns or whatever you're in the mood for. You can cool the broth and spoon off extra fat. Its so easy I should use mine more often.

I just made the 'Crockpot Chicken Tortilla Soup' on this site this week and it was delicious! I have portioned it out and frozen several small batches for later. It is quick, simple, and delicious. Good luck.

I've had good luck with beans (noting that some beans, like kidney beans, have to come to an actual boil for several minutes ... so usually on the stove before finishing in a slow cooker). Baked beans, but also just chili and the like. Also: overnight steel-cut oats. Lowest setting, good amount of liquid (water and-or milk ...), along with walnuts and apple -- a great way to set it before bed and have it for the whole family in the morning. And of course things like stews and slow-cooked meat dishes.

Im looking to start using my crockpot some more especially since its quite chilly out! I have been browsing through some of the spark recipes but would like some more first hand opinions. I also can't always find recipes for the ingredients I have as of now.
I would love some ideas on how to use chicken, ground beef or ground turkey if possible?
Or even just regular recipes using these would be great as well.
