This morning I threw three pounds of chicken breast, 32 ounces sweet baby rays barbeque sauce, 12 ounces dale's pale ale beer, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika into the crock pot. Wanted to use fresh garlic but ran out of time. Will top with cole slaw or cabbage on 100 calorie buns for dinner with some fresh veggies. YUM!
Love the crock pot. Have my meals planned for next week, but I may have to throw it into rotation the week after. I do a whole chicken that I get raves for - rinse the chicken and set it in, add onion, celery, a bit of white wine (chardonnay works well, but anything on the drier side would do), salt, pepper and lemons (clean well, cut in half, squeeze the juice over and then throw the lemons in on top).

I use mine all the time also - soups, chili, spaghetti sauce, pork roast with sauerkraut, pot roast, stew, corned beef have the crock pot and cabbage -- when I know it is a tough day at work - I try to have something in the crock pot so that I don't come home tired and want to go out. Lots of great recipes here and on other websites as well.

My tummy is pretty sensitive and I find that cooking chicken breasts in just a 1//2 cup of chicken broth in the cooker on high for an hour or two is the best way to have moist and delish chicken.
I add spices and throw in some frozen breasts with the broth early in the A.M and walk away for a while. After it's done, I cut it up for salads or whatever. It tastes better than boiled chicken, so much flavor.

I love my crockpot too. I love how quick and easy it is to prepare a dinner my family thinks I put a lot of effort into. I only wish I had more recipies...

I totally understand. My crockpot lets me move on with my day, clean out the produce bins of the fridge and put it over some whole wheat pasta or brown rice without missing a step.

I have been using my crock pot quite a bit lately, and I love it. I rarely used it before, but I have been creating my own concoctions, and they have been amazing! It makes it really easy, to clean out the fridge and freezer, by throwing it all in the crock and letting it meld the flavors all day. The house smells awesome while it is cooking, and I get more exercise in, by not spending so much time standing at the stove.
