Hi Batgirl

In addition to the good advice you've already received, I wanted to mention something about your weight loss goal. Losing 20 pounds in 3 months is realistic for someone who has 100 pounds to lose, but not someone who is that close to their goal weight. With about 20 pounds to lose, a reasonable rate of weight loss is 1/2-1 pound per week. As was said before, the closer you are to your goal, the slower you'll lose. Just something to consider.

Exercise is typically a fairly small component of your overall calorie burn.

Most people burn between 1300 and 1900 calories per day just keeping their natural body functions ticking over (aka metabolism), and then 20% in addition to this through normal daily non-exercise activities.

In coming up with an intake recommendation, Spark takes into account your Exercise Goals (averaged across the week). So long as your Exercise Goals reasonably reflect what you are burning through exercise in a typical week, then Spark will recommend an itnake range consistent with your needs and goals. If you are burning significantly more or less than this, you can update your Exercise Goals through the LH side of the Start page, and Spark will recalculate your recommended intake.

Losing weight is a long game. Keep to your regime for two weeks. Then weigh yourself. Calorie counters only go so far in predicting weight loss and as you're hardly obese you might find the weight comes of slower than it does for very overweight people..

I'm a 33 year old female who is 5'6" tall and weighs 151 pounds, I'd like to lose 20 pounds by June 1st. My goals on spark are as follows 1200-1550 calories per day and 930 calories to burn per week. Right now I am eating around 1400 calories a day while also staying in the brackets for protein and such and burning 100-300 a day extra through exercise. Does this seem right? Thanks for any advice/help you can give, B.
