Glad you wish to make differences.
You've obviously made a big difference in your own life.

Like another respondent said - try it in person; one individual at a time. You will both benefit, I'm sure - and you may just make a new friend, even if the only difference you see is that you've gained a friend, rather than caused them to change drastically

while social media will never go away at this point, have you tried reaching out in the actual world? i know meals on wheels always seems to be looking for volunteers and if that's not helping make a difference in someone's life, i don't know what is. and if you have issues getting around as well perhaps trying to get a local group of letter writing or phone conversations going would be something where you could make a huge positive impact in other people's lives. and you wouldn't have to wait for likes or retweets or what have you, you would actually get real time info on how you are helping and bettering someone else's life.

I looked at your ticker and smiled.
Just thought you should know that before I go on.

I think in this age so many people are concerned with making "a difference" in peoples' lives, which in itself is great, but they decide if they measure this goal by how many people APPEAR to be influenced. Trust me, everybody you talk to is influenced by you in some way or another. The best way to do something with your life is to live well. Treat yourself right. Be an example. Educate yourself, and be soft with other people. The butterfly effect is pronounced... you don't need to cause an earthquake to change the world; all it takes is one little flap of a butterfly's wings. Allow time.

I can tell you that the people who have made the biggest difference in my life did not do so simply overnight. The only people who do that are motivational speakers who have outrageous stories to tell- and even then, the impact they make is not caused by one day's time but rather the accumulation of their whole lives coming together in a story.

Don't feel badly if one day you don't seem to reach people who want to listen to you. Persistence is key. Find a cause- and keep that cause.

My goal today was to make a difference in anothers life. I picked the topic Meal Bars, and
did some research with a twist, I felt it was good stuff. Well it's the end of the day, I used some other media sources, and it looks like I reached less then a dozen people, and it appears
made no difference. I have been given a literall second chance at life and really hope to do
something with it. Hope to do better tommorow ,
maybe just give sombody a reason to smile.
