I try to do some form of cardio every day. I walk/run 3 days a week (following a training plan) and on the days I don't run I do the elliptical, bike, or rower. Sometimes I try to sneak in Zumba and boxing. I lift weights 3 times a week also. I think just do what works for you. I tend to go slower on the days after my runs.
Working out for 30 minutes 3 times per week is recommended as the minimum consistent with good health, and perhaps lifting this to 4-6 times per week for weight loss.
However, with the yoga and pilates you mention you are already doing, adding 3-4 cardio workouts should be plenty.

There are a lot of articles here on Spark. Just go to articles at the top of the page and click on fitness and do a search for cardio and strength training and you'll find what you're looking for. I think it depends on what your fitness goals are. For some it's about working towards marathon racing...others it is about loosing weight. So what is your goal....? I do 5 days a week at 50 to 60 minutes each time. I love my cardio so I don't find it hard to do. I want to get in real good shape so I do that with my 4 day a week weight lifting sessions.
You'll get different answers, but I believe a normal healthy person should do 20-30 minutes of cardio 3 times a week.
Be sure to update your fitness goals on your tracker so SP can determine the correct calorie range for your activity.

Hey all! I was wondering how often I should do cardio. I do Pilates, once a week, Yoga twice a week, abs and strength training twice a week. I was thinking about doing cardio 3-4 times a week. Is that too much or too little? Thanks! GOD bless
