Traditionally, those machines have always been inaccurate, no matter if male or female, they have exaggerated claims on them!! People have complained about them for years, in fact.

Worked out yesterday for 45 minutes on the treadmill. I was wearing my Polar monitor. I entered the same information into the treadmill that is entered on my Polar. When I finished my workout the treadmill said I burned 576 calories and my Polar indicated that I burned 378 calories. That is almost a 200 calorie difference. My sister-in-law who is a trainer told me that the machines are calibrated for men and not women hence the difference in calories burned. So you guys out there I call you lucky and we ladies out here well we know what we gotta do...... BURN A LITTLE MORE......
