Hell-o Carolfern! I am so glad you came back today! I hear you about motivation and I struggle maintaining it (like this weekend) ....and at times, getting it to begin with! One thing that really helps me with motivation is to look at a photo or two of myself looking frumpy and older. That will often do the trick! But since you have successfully come back here is an appropriate quote for the occasion, "Constant dripping hollows out a stone." Lucretius
Since you were born in November and I was born in March, that means you are a spring chick compared to me! I live on the east side of Washington state, how about you?

One last great quote, from an unknown author, "You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there." Keep climbing out of that water...

Hi, I was born in November 1955. I can't even really say I started Spark. I signed up last weekend, tracked food for one day and didn't even come back to the website until today. Really struggling with the motivation. Glad youi're doing well. keep up the good work. You're an inspiration!

Hi out there! Surely there is someone born in 1955 besides me. I am a March baby.

I started Spark on April 15 and am so happy to write that after only 2 weeks, I have shed 7 pounds! I am amazed it is still consistently coming off. Apparently recording everything I eat, keeping the carbs low to moderate and exercising are working.

And I love my green smoothies....full of antioxidants and I don't have to worry about salad dressing while increasing the vegetable intake.
