I think it would amaze people how often they could be fooled by "quality" food, if so-called "lower quality food was packaged as "high quality" food and people thought they were consuming the "better" food. I will guarantee everyone that perception often trumps reality.

I walked into an Albertson's one day, and found that I could not pass up the produce... ALL of it was BEAUTIFUL, and colorful... It wasn't what I had gone there for, and I was only picking up something quick... but I spent A LOT of time going through the produce section getting some of the most amazing produce!

Sure is true when it comes to produce. I spend a lot on the best quality I can get. I couldn't believe the difference in taste and texture.
No wonder people balk at eating their vegetables! I did, too, until I started spending more and getting the best tasting I could. No more bitter tasting veggies for this girl!
I will scrimp on other stuff in order to keep doing this, as it's phenomenal what 7-9 servings of fresh veggies & fruits do for our health and our weight.
I used to bake my own bread. It is hard work but the results were worth it and i knew exactly what was in the stuff i made. Wish i could find a good local bakery like you did!

There is a small bakery in town that makes absolutely wonderful bread. They bake for our local health food stores, restaurants, the hospital and sell to regular customers.
I usually buy a loaf of multi grain bread once every 2 weeks and keep in the freezer to keep it fresh. I made sandwiches for a friend and her kids and she said the kids would likely eat two sandwiches. They both could barely eat 1 each and she said she could barely finish hers. I made myself a tuna sandwich for work with my "good" bread and then the next day a sandwich with "store bought" whole grain bread as we had finished my "good" bread.
I felt so much fuller with the "good" bread. And I stayed feeling fuller longer. I was buying it mainly because it tasted so much better then the "store" bread. I knew it was a heavier, heartier bread but I didn't realize the difference was that drastic.
