I've never thought of freezing blueberries but love the idea! I never eat the whole container either so I've had this problem. Guess it's kinda like eating frozen grapes, right? A sweet, cold treat - a nice alternative to ice cream!

I like to eat my blueberries frozen. Reminds me of ice cream/sherbert without all the calories

We freeze ours and then use them in muffins, oatmeal, just about anything. We love blueberries.
Another vote for freezing. I hope to plant some bushes, but until then, when they go on sale, I stock up. Then I lay them out on a sheet cake pan and let them flash freeze, then put them in a freezer bag/container. They freeze individually this way, and I can take out what I need. (I havent tried to just freeze them, I am only assuming they would all freeze together in a clump but I really dont know that for fact)

I freeze them upon getting home from the store. I put a hand ful in my oatmeal before I cook it in the microwave (old fashioned oats) and cook them. It turns it a nice purple color and ooh so wonderful smelling.

I add blueberries and flax seed to my oatmeal also with another fruit, it's my version of a sweetner. But I have often thought of freezing them if and when our blueberries start taking off !

Put them in a spinach salad with some almonds and balsamic vinegar. Also, they freeze very well.

I love to just snack on them, or add them into Greek yogurt.

I agree with going the frozen route.
I love to make blueberry pancakes for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It's nice to always have them on hand when the mood strikes me.

You can also freeze blueberries as well to keep them longer. Our blueberry bushes are hideously productive and we can never keep up with eating them so the extras get frozen. End result: awesome blueberries for the whole year! Also, I love putting blueberries in salads with some balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

delicious in yogurt or fromage frais for more protein than adding to cereal.

I LOVE fresh blueberries in my cereal (lo-sugar Joe's O's - Trader Joe's). But I don't eat it every day.
And the trouble is...I don't use up a whole pint of berries before they go bad. I'm not crazy about eating them au naturale......and I don't make smoothies at home.
Any ideas for using blueberries other than in cereal or in smoothies???
I know how healthy they are......and I'd love to eat more of them.
