Bananas are better for you than junk food, that's for sure. But they are high glycemic, and one banana can be TWO servings.

I have never heard that bananas are bad for you. If they fit in your daily calorie range they are an excellent source of phosphorous, calcium, potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, niacin, vitamin E and vitamin B6. They are higher in calories than other fruits but so what....LOL I find them more satisfying than most fruits. Enjoy your bananas...
I promise that a banana is easier to fit into your diet than pop, or sweets. Don't worry about bananas unless the rest of your diet is perfect. Whole fruits and vegetables are the last thing you need to be worrying about. Usually by the time you get to the dangerous bananas, you are already losing weight.
A banana a day won't hurt your weight loss, promise. I eat a banana most days and I'm doing fine. I think they have a bad rap because they are higher in sugar and carbs than other fruits, but this just means you shouldn't go nuts on them. 1 a day is perfectly fine. I love bananas because they are so portable; They come in their own biodegradable wrapper!

Hi all, I am a bit confused. I am an avid banana lover, but lately have been seeing all sorts of messages popping up on the internet about NOT to eat banana's because they are bad for you. I am sudenly worried that my 1 banana daily is going to derail my weight loss. . . It is my favorite fruit, but I am hoping that it doesn't need to get axed from my new lifestyle in order for me to lose weight. Any ideas?
