One of the most bought books on amazon is about the dunkan diet. Give it a search.

Here is the Dirt Review from WebMD. This is the diet used by Kate Middleton.

There has been some discussion on the diet here:

It's an almost all-protein starvation-level crash diet. Dukans himself has said that it's not safe for more than a few weeks at a time. If your wife only has 5 or 10 pounds to lose and is young with no other health problems, it probably won't hurt her seriously. But iff she has ANY risk factors for kidney problems or diabetes, you should insist that she get medical clearance and be examined weekly by her doctor if she's going to try this.

There's an article on in the magazine called First...
It restricts carbs. has Attack stage which is the first stage and you only eat protien and some oat bran you do this for 4-10 days depending on how much you have to lose. Then you do what is called and some vegetables are added during this phase you alternate one day Cruise phase one day pure protien. Lots of can google it and find out more details.
I started it this morning and so far so good.
Keep me posted if your wife does do and how she is doing on it.

My wife just got back from her sister's and is determined to do something called the Dukan diet. What has anyone heard about this?
