I would like to try one too. A race would be a good goal to work toward. Good functional training to prepare for and complete.

I saw a thing on TV about Spartan Races recently.
It's not something I'd be interested in but it sure looks intense.

I can't wait for my next one. I think I'm going to do one of the long ones next year.

And they are absolutely addictive! The sense of accomplishment when you finish beats the heck out of any 10K or other event I've ever done.

Think I'm going to watch one of these -- pics from Google are amazing. Then jump in as my overall fitness improves.

I'm doing one in January 2014 here in Orlando. I have a friend that does them all over and he says they are addictive :). Sure looks like fun!

Wow! What a challenge, and a what a feeling to finish.

Overall it was 4.8 miles (the distance is unknown at the beginning) and 16 obstacles - some not too tough and some incredibly challenging.

It is certainly a test of your fitness, will power, and dedication.

I'm doing one tomorrow, hoping I haven't bitten off more than I can chew at my young age of 43.
