What's funny is every other meal, I tend to choose water. It's just at work where there is free juice that I do this. But I'm changing that starting today.

I've cut out liquid calories as well but every now and then when my cals are on the lower side for the day but my dietary fiber is already high, I sneak in a glass of OJ or almond milk. For the OJ I just do 4 oz juice and 4 oz water. With almond milk, I'll have either 4 or 8 oz because it tends to be lower in cals.

It's amazing, isn't it, how many calories are in a packaged drink (of any kind!)? It took me nearly a year but now water is all I want with my meals. I taste my food these days--who knew??!!!

Best of luck on your transition.

one thing I learned is to not drink your calories as they are just empty calories.

I've tried diluting it before and I don't like it.

I used to drink cranberry juice all the time. You could cut the calories in half by adding water if you like the taste. I began buying the 100% cranberry and would cut it with water(about 4 cups of water to one cup of cranberry) and sweeten it with stevia.

I've been pretty good lately about ensuring I'm within my calories (not always logged on the site, but checked later that I was still good). And I was wondering why I'm not really losing weight (although have lost a couple inches total).

Um, yeah. I've been logging all the food I packed for lunch but not the 12 or so oz of cranberry juice I have with my lunch from the free dispenser at work. Ack! That's an average of about 200 calories. Ack!

I guess I'm switching to water with my lunch.
