I don't eat meals. I eat about 10 times a day. But if a "meal" constitutes a portion of meat, a salad, a sandwich (for example), then I'll have the meat, and an hour or two later the vegetables, and an hour or two later the bread, rinse and repeat.

I put pictures up of almost every bite I put in my body on my SP-blog, so you can have a look there if you wanna :) Most days I hardly reach my caloric range.

you can go either way with it. think of what you would eat for three square meals. split a meal in half down the middle and you have a mini meal: protein, starch, and veggie. only one extra plate too. or you can go more like really large snacks. it depends on what you like and what works for you. mine tend to be more along the lines of a regular meal, just 150-300 cals worth.

My dad is diabetic, and he tries for 5 meals a day. It basically is larger snacks with everything at each meal, and smaller "meals".

So if you would normally eat one whole sandwich and a salad for lunch, he made it 1/2 sandwich at 10 and 1/2 sandwich at 12.

I don't eat 5-6 meals. I eat basically a snacky thing for breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, snack, and sometimes another snack.(I stay up until around midnight-1 am)

I've been wondering the same thing. I tend to skip breakfast a lot because I either need to eat something from the drive-thru or eat some "processed out of the box" type of food which I know can't be good for you when trying to lose weight like I have been for who knows how long. I know if I woke up early and made breakfast but I treasure sleep more. I am a work in progress on that one. lol! I heard about the 5-6 small meals and think it's a good idea to help me curb my hunger throughout the work day and eating fewer calories but it's hard to plan 3 meals let alone 6. It just seems like eating healthy takes so much planning. Why couldn't I have been born exercising and eating right? :/

I eat three meals, with breakfast being my biggest, and supper, my smallest, with three, sometimes only two small snacks. My snacks after breakfast and lunch are usually something like a serving of almonds, sunflower seeds,or pumpkin seeds, a piece of fruit, a small cup of Greek yogurt, some raw veggies with a salsa or hummus dip, and sometimes a cup of air popped popcorn, no salt or butter, but seasoned with whatever herb I'm in the mood for, like cinnamon, or chili powder. After dinner, I usually have some celery with peanut butter,a plain rice cake with peanut butter, or some baked corn tortillas with a little cinnamon sprinkled on. I have a cup of herbal tea with each snack.

I tend to eat 5-6 large snacks rather than small meals. 250 calories per snack/meal gives me 1250-1500 calories for the day which is pretty much perfect for my range.

I hear people say they eat 5-6 small meals a day and I was looking for examples. I usually eat 3 small meals and 3 snacks. My snacks are an apple with peanut butter, or a cheese stick. If you eat 5-6 small meals a day, does that mean actual MEALS? Like, meat-carb-veggie kind of meals? Or do you just call your snacks meals because it is easier lol

I would imagine making 6 different meals a day would lead to lots of dishes hehe
