Hello and Welcome to Sparks!

Although each person has different goals, you're in great company here. The amount of support and community at Sparks is unlike any other website. (Trust me, I've tried them all!) emoticon

If there is any way that I can help you along your journey, just let me know! I'm always here for friends in need.

Irish smiles,

Welcome. The thing that helps me most is tracking all my food in the tracker. If I do that I usually do pretty well. Good luck to you. Remember we are all here for the same reason.

First off welcome back to Spark People. It's going to be a hard journey but if you stay committed even when you fall off get right back on. Log log log, log everything as if you were writing a book about yourself. Food prep is a big key. Search this site for recipes and plan meals for the week...Tupperware or brown bagging works. It's about 80-90% what you intake and the rest is activity. Try something new whether it be food or activity. In order for your body to change you have to change your mind. I can go on & on about what helped me loose 56lbs, you have to play around w/ what works for your body. Listen if you need an accountability partner let me know. I have a support page on Facebook (link below) if you ever need some daily inspiration, recipes or if you'd like to add some input on what helps you. Stay committed in this journey!!!

I am a 54 year old ESL teacher living in Malaysia. I have been on and off spark before but th emoticon emoticon emoticon is time feel a lot more in control. Basically dropped the exercise like a nut..and don't keep it up mentality. However I battle with the occasions where I go out, eat out for whatever reason, and then break my streak or if I have visitors for the weekend....What works for you?
Ps my ticker shows kg instead of pounds!
