Take it 1 day at a time, but don't forget what your goal is. It's healthy to lose 1-2 lbs a week, so just think 1 lb each week.

If you can not get motivated at the gym or to go to the gym. Just concentrate on being happy. Happiness keeps the wait off. You have a lot to be happy about, you're getting married and you have a job. Also, try to pack small snacks like baby carrots or yogurt... so you don't hit those vending machines! Stay happy!

Most of my days I am unmotivated. And it doesnt help I work second shift. My sleep schedule is so all over the place, that I feel like Im always tired, whether I work out or not. I need to lose weight more for my health and less for the wedding, but I dont have any motivation at this point. I could use all the help in the world from someone else. I need someone to hold me accountable for going to the gym, and right now I dont have that. I have yet to find anyone on spark people here, that helps keep me motivated...

My wedding is in October. Some days I'm totally motivated but then others I am sooo not. Does anyone else have days like this? Those are the days I really need help. I just joined Spark People and I am hoping that on those days i can find inspiration here.

That's a good one! If the cost of everything isn't enough to motivate you-I don't know what is! I'm afraid of getting my pictures back & hating the way I look in them! I only get one shot at this & when I'm old & grey I want to look back & say wow I looked awesome!

I also think of the dress when I want to snack but know I shouldn't. I think about how much it cost and how much the photographers are going to cost and I'll be damned if I'm going to not look my best in it!!

It always helps me to look at a picture of my dress. It's amazingly perfect & that dress motivates me to exercise, to not snack when I'm bored. That dress motivates me. It may not work for everyone but I am going to look amazing in that dress & it keeps me going! Best of luck to everyone!

Im getting Married next december and need all the motivation and help I can get. I lost about 15 lbs, and ahve now gained about 8 lbs back. I havent gone dress shopping or anything yet because im terrified what I'm going to look like in the dresses. I want to get to the gym and work out, but I just dont feel like going. I worked my butt off before for such a small outcome. I dont know what to do either. I need all the help and motivation I can get!

December was my "fall off the wagon" month and now I need to get back on that wagon because my wedding is this year in October and I've bought my dress and the first fitting will be in a few months and either I lose weight (which is the preferred solution) or I have to pay to have my dress let out (not very prefrerred at all!)!

Come no ladies....lets motivate each other so we can look hot in our pictures (and of course feel healthy etc!)

My wedding is in July 2011 and I am worried about my motivation. I just keep reminding myself why I'm doing this and I try to visualize how I want to look on my wedding day!!

The wedding is Aug next year. Thankyou this is really good advice, Im finding when I feel the need to snack a glass of water to replace it help

How long before your wedding?

Take 1 day at a time. Do 1 really good thing for your body today. Eat well or maybe drink enough water or get in a workout.

If you start somewhere you will find motivation!

Im worried I wont get motivated and I love food and am finding it hard to cut back and to say no to foods I love, ie pizza mc donalds. Im worried it will be to late and I will never fit nicely into my dress
