hoping yu feel better every day!!!! along with all yur doctors recommendations.......i wud like to help yu feel better!! our bodies are like a complex chemistry project!!! a spoonful of sugar can change our equation.. so thinking about what we eat is super important.. and it took me fifty years to learn to respect this....... lollll loll better late than never... soooo mushrooms of any kind are super good for anti cancer...fresh or cooked!!! think of it like a vitamin pill if yu dont care for them.. they have found that it inhibits cancer growth and if yu are currently battling cancer it can help to shrink tumors........ also for liver health.. fresh cooked artichoke is extremely helpful... they are a funnny veggie to prep.. cutting all the outside leaves to the quick.. then quarter them and remove the hairlike interior.. i drop them into chicken boillion and bay leave to steam them..or yu can fry them gently in olive oil and garlic.....gooooooood luck..holistically !!!!!!!

Jessica, I've been following this thread, and I wanted to check in to say--good job! on finding out what was wrong. Fear is really the enemy; it makes everything else so much worse.

Rest well, think strong thoughts, smile as much as you can, sing if you can, and rejoice that there's medicine to help you.

Thinking of you a lot. emoticon

I am so glad that you are getting the treatments you need and that you are feeling better. I hope your cat does come home, which I think most cats are very good at finding their way home. Maybe he sensed you were gone and went out to look for you.

I'm glad you are on the mend & will be home soon!

Thank you

I am hoping i will be out of here with in the next day or two. Its been a tough time. There is something about laying in a hospital bed that makes you want to eat tons of comfort food. Thankfully I have been keeping in check though. I am starting to feel better. I think whatever meds they have me on is starting to do there job and hopefully we will find out soon what has caused this.

I am really glad that you DID listen and that the problem has been found. One thing a couple Doctors told me about the liver when there was an issue with my husband's, was that livers generally have a great ability to become normal again once a problem is dealt with.

BIG hugs and just look at it as you are in a Spa for R & R and to be spoiled :-) This is what we referred the Hospital to when hubby kept getting admitted.

I'm sure your cat will be fine - maybe it sensed you would be away for a few days.

BIG hugs,
Kris xx

Hi everyone....thanks for the replies...

I was admitted into the hospital last night. looks like i will be here for a few days. My labs were all messed up. It looks like i got some fluke of a infection that is affecting my liver. I am on IV antibotics and stuff to help with the pain and nausea. It hasn't been a easy 24 hours. My husband just informed me that my cat is missing at home as well. When he left last night he found that he had knocked out a screen window and jumped out. I am feeling like what else could be going wrong these days.

Though I have to say my thanks your to everyone on here that has helped me in the last couple of weeks. Without all of your help I would never have gotten things checked out. I would have tried to work through the pain and it would have been a lot worse. So from the more sincerest part of my whole being thank you all sooo sooo much for the support and encouragement to get things checked out.

The doctors think that there shouldn't be a long term damage, that I got in just in time. I should be good as new within a few weeks to a month... :-) and out of here within a few days !!

emoticon I’ve had more than my share of problems, tests and waiting games. I’m also a cancer survivor. It’s scary sitting in ER because all we can think of is the unknown. We don’t have control. Previous experiences never make it easier. My husband is also great support. He’s scared too. One thing is does is ask questions that make me think, like favorite part of our last vacation, favorite childhood toy, etc. Usually I don’t want to talk because it’s easier to be paralized by fear. But I talk because he’s doing his best to help and feels badly that he can't do more. Talking makes time pass faster. I truly hope your problem is an easy fix. Whatever it is, you and your husband will get through it together--just as you made it through your cancer. emoticon

Finally had some scans done today to see why i have been having stomach pains and nausea. Good news no signs of the cancer returned....bad news my liver is very enlarged and enzymes are very elevated. This explains the chest pain and nausea..... doctors sent me to the ER after my scan this afternoon, now its waiting game to see what is causes all of this... terrifed out of my mind, but thankfully my husband is here and is stepping up and being really supportive.
