I'm in the same boat as you. I've found that it takes lots of persistence, and the weight comes off very slowly. It can be frustrating when only .25 or .5# per week comes off, because it can be hard to see the actual weight loss within the normal 2-3# weight fluctuations.

When I feel like I'm in a plateau, I just remind myself that it's a chance to get stronger and fitter, and that I have to adapt to maintaining my weight for the rest of my life, so I may as well get to practicing!

Along with changing up your exercise routine, you can also chane up your usual diet. Any change can help to get your body off the plateau!

Your body will become accustomed to your exercise routine and it won't give you the same benefit that it once was. Try changing it up. Increase the intensity or try something new. emoticon

I've come a long way from last summer. down 43 lbs total. Yet I've platued fora bout a month. I can't say I've been perfect, because I've cheated a few times. We all need our "cheat" days.
Regardless, I've stayed within 1 pound of where I am for over a month. This most recent week I took great care to watch my calories very closely and to drink plenty of water. Working out 4 or 5 times a week.
So My question is how to get over this platue? Should I vary my diet more? Eat less? cut out alcohol? Should I exercise less?

I currently rarely eat meat, cheese or carbs of any kind.
