My snacking seems to start about an hour after dinner because I think I just have to have something sweet. I find often when getting up during the night I stop at the cupboard and grab a Skinny Cow candy bar or more often than not I grab 2 and eat them in bed before going back to sleep.

We have had things going on every day / night for the last week and I realized that we have been eating out constantly. The scale is screaming at me as I put weight back on. Need to get back on track. I agree having something light to eat when you get home is sensible. I have run the report and unfortunately I am the opposite - light breakfast, light lunch because I am usually in control of those meals - then I eat heavy for dinner, grab and go. Keep up the good work.

emoticon Sometimes I don't get home until late, but I don't like to skip having a quick little something. Your metabolism still works at night - even if it is a little slower. Why starve yourself? emoticon

when I keep going back to the refrigerator it's usually not because I am hungry it's because i am bored or tired. I tell myself that what I REALLY want is not in there. What I REALLY want is to lose weight and look and feel better and fit into my clothes better and that's not in the fridge. If I must eat i try to find something low cal. I agree going to bed earlier helps. emoticon

me to so i am going to start trying it. however, if i want to watch a movie, it will have to be earlier in the evening. emoticon

I agree that going to bed earlier helps curb late night snacking.

I tend to stay up too late. I end up hungry. Busy life. So, I schedule a healthy snack about 7

I try to avoid it! But sometimes I do it. And then I regret it. So I'm trying to be more mindful when I open the refrigerator and look in right before I go to bed. I don't need that food--I need to sleep!!

My desire to snack late at nights was cured, when I realized that I was having difficulty digesting most of the stuff I ate. I hated that overfull feeling, that sometimes kept me awake, more than I wanted to eat. emoticon

believe it or not, i may eat sometimes cause i am bored or because i think i have to get rid of the food before it goes bad. i know that is all wrong so i have to stop especially if it depends on my blood sugar levels which it does, and thyroid levels go when it has to do with exercise. emoticon

Middle of the night? You must be very hungry if it wakes you up!

Try eating a little more at dinner or saving some calories for a bad time snack.

i definitely have to learn to go to bed a whole lot earlier cause i have noticed at late night whether I am hungry or not, i have a tendency to raid the food . my dietician told me when that urge comes about to go to bed. i have the addiction of watching late night movies so this is where the eating comes in. I know for a fact I have to get a schedule at night so I can get sleep and my health will be a lot better than it has been for awhile. emoticon
