Welcome, welcome Siempre! First of all, I am so impressed (inspired by) all the Major changes you have made in such a short period. That quitting smoking is a biggie. I quit two years ago February 25th and it was hell. So congrats on that! Have you tried the goal tracking program here? It's really powerful as far as organizing and motivating yourself. But this is also a great, supportive community, full of people trying to change, and help each other change, for the better!

You came to the right place. So far using sparkpeople as my motivation and inspiration I have been able to loose 20lbs in 1 and a half months! The support is great here. I hope you find it as usefull as I have! We'll be watching for your success and cheering you on! Good luck!

in march on my 48th b'day i stopped smoking / stopped eating red meat, chicken and pork/ I just this past month bought a bicycle and have been pedaling the two miles to work and two miles home everyday. I feel much better. I weigh 242 and have not lost any weight at all since march.I keep a food journal one week a month and am eating between 1000-1700 calories. My main goals are to improve my endurance, improve flexibilty and finally to lose 50 pounds in the next year. I am very happy with my progress so far but it is always nice to have a little extra support or kick in the pants.
