Either bring some homemade bread, muffins...or invite them over for a BBQ. One month isn't too late. They needed time to settle a bit.

Thank you all for the great ideas! I like the idea of giving them a plant, but I'm open to more suggestions if you have them. I won't be able to get to the store for a couple days.

I like the idea of a bbq/potluck style. They are informal and gives everyone a chance to get to know each other :)

Do they do any gardening? Maybe a pretty plant or flowers, something they can either choose to leave in the pot or plant in the ground.

Or maybe you could invite them over next time you have a cook out or a party at your house.

It is Earth Day so you could take a plant or some flowers and wish them a Happy Earth Day and belated "Welcome to the neighborhood". It is not too late to be kind. emoticon

Believe it or not I wanted to do this for my new neighbours.. How about just saying hello and take it from there, if they return the jesture wanting contact.. Amazing or not- not all people want other people to arrange welcomes..

My neighbours are many single older people whom are pretty private people with busy work lifes- most of their social life happens with family out side the area.. Many people get tired of having neigbhours on their door step all the time.. We say hello to each other, ask questions like if the power goes off if they experience stuff and sometimes give messages to our landlord.. I am also dislike having people constantly asking for stuff and have had to ask one man not to turn up on my doorstep late at night because I showed him friendly guestures. It is tough to regret when they start asking if they can borrow money and crap. I dislike being approached and saying no or exposing to them I just get by in difficult financial times.

I want to do something nice for our new neighbors. They moved in about a month ago though so I'm not sure what to do. I think it is a little late for a "welcome to the neighborhood" thing. Any ideas?
