I agree with the post about exercise lowering blood sugar. You might also consider the time factor. Blood sugar can be fluctuate considerably for someone with diabetes. Your diet (how often and what you eat) and exercise all contribute. Don't count on exercise alone to lower blood sugar. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the articles on exercise , very helpful also helpful on carb adjustments!!I always feel better after I exercise and I know the workout makes the blood sugar lower . emoticon

Muscles use insulin during exercise and then glucose to be pulled from the bloodstream to use for energy lowering the amount of glucose circulating in the blood stream. Here are a couple articles that can help you decide how best to prepare for exercise to be sure you don't fall into a situation where your glucose levels falls to an unsafe level during exercise.

This morning when I took my blood sugar , it was 217. I did slip up and ate a cupcake! A few hours later I helped my husband cut our front and back yard. Took my blood sugar for the second time today and it was 76. Does excerise burn that much sugar? From a high of 217 to a low of 76!!Does anyone know answer? emoticon
