I agree, it should be decaf but even decaf has some caffeine and can dehydrate. I've been told to bump up the water if you have ceffeine.

I'm glad to know I can count tea as water. I usually drink only water, but do drink tea occasionaly. Thanks

Hopefully it will count as water with only lemon juice added!

Does it count if you add calorie free sweeter?? This seems to be a much debated topic!

Some fluid is better than none.

I have a hard time getting in the 8 glasses of water. The key is to stay hydrated.

But, remember -- if you are avoiding caffiene; many teas and decaf have caffiene.

I would not count the artifically sweetened tea drinks

This is great. I love teas, particularly herbal and any of the Tazo teas.

I love this idea. I was trying to drink tea and my 8 waters and I have felt a bit water logged.

I did not know that about tea and I drink plenty of it.

I love teas! I have an entire bin of various tea bags that I have collected. I usually have 2 cups a day.

Wow I knew that tea counted but not that decaf coffee counted - great! So much easier to get in the 8 cups this way!

Decaf - with nothing added - does count.

I've been told for many years that as long as it's "clear" it counts as water. Only recently MDH told me that decaf coffee also can count as water. Can anyone verify? He stated that because it doesn't have caffeine it's okay to count this, too.

I drink about ten cups of tea a day. Maybe a coffee, one diet cola (overnight) and several plain waters. Green tea is my new best friend!

Well, tea IS nothing but flavored water, so of course it counts (when adding nothing else!).

I've come to the conclusion...some kind of clear fluids are better than none....Maybe not according to "expert" opinions. I'll go with fluid over candy mid afternoon!

I'm glad to know that I can count tea as water specially since I drink it with no sugar or milk.
