When I lose a few more pounds, I plan on buying some. :) I love them! Right now, I can't wear short anythings, though, because the friction from my thighs makes me extremely uncomfortable. I'd have to wear knee-length tights under them or something, which defeats the purpose!

I have seen people wearing them in some of the races I have ran. I think they are cute. I would consider wearing one.

I had never thought of skirts for running. I guess it does make sense because of the freedom of movement; as long as there are shorts underneath!!! LOL!!!

I suppose if ice skaters wear them so they can move better, why not? Look at those "Skorts" that the professional basketball players have been wearing for years, now, they look like skirts to me, and they are Long, too. They make me laugh, in fact, first time I saw them, I thought it was a joke.

There are some heated, and I mean H E A T E D debates out there that a "real" runner would never run in a skirt, but there's also a lot of positive feedback from recreational runners like myself that swear by them and will never go back to shorts, so I figured for $30 it was worth a shot, and if I hate them I'll return them. But for those questioning the practicality of running in a skirt -
- this blog was the reason I decided to take the plunge.

I have one, but I put it over capri's cuz I just don't want it too short and it actually looks cute that way. It's very comfy too.

Part of the uniform I wear every day is a skirt....and I often run from one "disaster" to another...but I do not think that is the type of skirt or the type of running you are talking about lol

the skirts i have have compression shorts underneath, long compression shorts, because chafing is no fun lol. i wear either capris or the skirt, if never found shorts that work well for me. im tall and the skirts are long enough....aka coverage is more than adequate. some running skirts are way too skimpy for my liking, the ones with just a pair of underwear underneath give me nightmares lol.

they really are kinda fun to wear. but only a few people seem to carry the ones i like.

With my old man's legs, everyone would wonder if those are my legs or am I riding a chicken.

@SNS - post some photos & let us be the judge emoticon
guys wear kilts, right???

I've not tried the running/exercise skirts yet. Every store I've seen them, they were way too pricey for me. I also hesitate to buy exercise clothing that can easily snag.

one of the spin instructors has a bad habit (IMO) of wearing these in spin class. Trust me, they are NOT good for cycling. Really not good when you are at the front of the room, facing the rest of the class.

I don't have the legs for it. And I'm a man. So no.

I ordered mine from Sports Authority - they had a couple of Adidas tennis skirts on sale for $15. I'll let y'all know how it goes when they get here. I'm a little worried about the compression shorts not being long enough cause I also get a little "chub rub" going on in the thigh area.

I think they look cute, if I was a runner I'd wear them!

they look cute.
I'd have to make sure the shorts went down far enough - I hate it when my thighs rub together, so I usually stick with capri/knee lengths

I don't run but I think skorts (skirts/shorts) are very cute and totally appropriate. Gives you a different look without having to worry about showing body parts you shouldn't!

Does anyone out there run in a skirt? I think they're fabulously adorable and ordered two this morning...technically tennis skirts, but I was looking for a skirt with built-in compression shorts and that's what these are. I'm curious about others' experiences with them and am looking forward to receiving mine!
