Well, it is not unusual to not see much change in only a week. Keep going with recording your food and doing your exercise! You can do it!

well still no change on the scale!
I've worked out Mon-Thurs, and will be working out tonight and I"ve stayed in my calorie range but still no movement on the scale.
I've made a doctors appointment for next month. I'm hoping they will order some bloodwork to check my hormone levels as well as thyroid.
I really don't know why I"m not seeing any change. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone! Its great to have encouragement from others who have been where I am!
I keep telling myself, just keep at it - being healthy is way more important than what the scales say :)

I think if you go to your Spark Page and down to where you're ticker is located, you'll see a place to click to "edit ticker".

And hang in there - I've been here about 2 months and have dropped only 5 lbs. It can be frustrating but 5 lbs. is 5 lbs., right?!

Just hang in there.. I recently plateaued out for about six weeks... part of it was being a little careless and not recording my intake accurately; but part of it was just natural, I think. I've been consistent for the last three or four weeks and the pounds are coming off again. It will happen for you.

Don't give up your physical training... there's more to health than numbers on the scale and it seems you're doing good stuff.

Not sure what happened but when I re-entered my numbers (in pounds) the program recalculated and uped my caloric intake.
Since I wasn't eating enough, it could explain why I didn't lose any.
But I can't change my weight ticker?

Are you sure your program is set up correctly? Your weight is listed at 444 pounds or 200kg. Is that correct? Your page says you need to lose 20-30 pounds. You need to set up your Spark weight correctly to get the right calorie range to eat.

Thanks for the tips.
I'm also wondering if I should keep my weight training to a minimum until I see some lbs lost.
It is a mental game too - if I get discouraged then I think whats the point?

The advice I have is just to stick to the program. If you're truly following it, the weight will come off. If you've been on WW already, and just switching over, you may just be on a normal plateau. Be sure to track everything. Don't just look at your calories - stay in range on all your things being tracked - fat, protein, etc. A trick that I've found that does seem to help me over a plateau is to alternate day to day of staying on the low end of my range for a day or two and then going to the high end for a day or two and then back down to the low end. People have lots of ideas on plateaus, and I know some say it doesn't matter what you do, it just takes time. You could also try tracking your fiber and make sure you get in those ranges as well. I do know the program works though. Look at your consistency more than the scale, and the scale WILL catch up. emoticon

So, be easy on can take some time to do some didn't put it on in several weeks, did you??

It took me a couple of months and then, suddenly, I saw a drop of 15 pounds.

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone out there can give me some tips or suggestions.
I've been doing Spark People for 2 weeks after switching from Weight watchers. I've been doing fairly well, going over my calories only 3 days. I've been doing cardio and strength training workouts as well.
There has been no weight loss!
Is there something I am doing wrong? Why is this not working?
I'm 37 and pretty active as is - with 4 kids.
