I was diagnosed with PCOS when TTC in 2009. I was put on Metformin which I have heard can help with the weight loss, but right after I started taking it I conceived my twins, so I am just now trying to lose the weight. The main issue is the insulin resistance we have and that can hinder weight loss. I would just watch what you eat and exercise. Trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle is key! Watch your refined starches and sugars and try to find a healthier alternative.
I'm down nearly 25 lbs since August 2012. It may be a bit more difficult or come off a bit slower, but it is definitely doable!

I was diagnosed with pcos in october 2009 I weighed 265 or so then and was told to get down to 230 before I started trying to conceive...even though I had been doing so for the past two years before my diagnosis I started using spark people.com on March 19th 2012 and by June 10th 2012 I was down from 246 to 224 losing 1.5 - 2 pounds every week then like clock work...now I startes sp again new years day and am only down five pounds...Im at 226.4 right now :( I put on five pounds after stopping sp last year, but nothing more...it's not coming off this time around...Im down five pounds in five weeks...hoping things speed up...it's not easy to lose weight but it's much harder when pcos is involved...Ive head and read that going on a low carb no white flour eating plan is best for us with pcos, cause of our insulin issues...I have started to eat potato bread which is 35 calories a slice instead of 100 something...i eat fruits, veggies and nuts more then I used to...so that helps...but the weight is not moving like I want it too :(
