Rinse some green grapes, dry them and place in a pan (don't stack them) in your freezer....when completely frozen, store them in plastic baggies and you have a snack whenever you need... I also put about 12-15 of them in a large glass and fill with water each morning...instead of ice cubes.

Fresh fruit is always easy (my favorite are cherries and fuji apples). Make your own trail mix with a tablespoon of nuts, a tablespoon of dried fruit *unsweetened of course) and a teaspoon of mini chocolate chips - YUMMY good and only 125-150 calories. I make up several snack bags of this trail mix for my snacks and for my kids!

We like pre-measured applesauce cups,
celery or apple with Adams peanut butter,
string cheese sticks,
chilled celery and carrot sticks,
tuna salad on small crackers,
and of course cut up melon or pineapple,
and so on and so on!

These are all great ideas! I also make extra servings of the foods I like and then store them in snack sized bags or freeze them in those Snap Lock??? containers. The other day I tried so hard to make falafel, but I wanted them to be more substantial, so I added ground turkey to them. I was able to make over 20 of them, so when they cooled off, I put two or three in each little snack bag and froze them. That was about a week ago. I got tired of eating them on the second day anyway! But today, I needed something quick to put in my lunch box, so I just took a bag of three out of the freezer and popped it into my cooler. It turns out I wasn't that hungry, so I popped them into the fridge for tomorrow.

I took the time last week to measure out servings of almonds, my Kashi cereal for the morning, the bread crumbs for salads, and little snack bags filled with carrots, broccoli salad, and a string cheese. You can put the "recipe" in your recipe book on Spark, or "Group" them on your nutrition planner so when you grab a quick bag of whatever, you save time.

I use a scale to measure out snacks. That way I can go healthy with fruit or I can add in a few salty favorites as long as I have appropriate portions. It's easy to weigh 1 ounce of chips or pretzels or whatever. Then I store them in individual baggies to grab and go. String cheese is great, too. And I'm addicted to blueberries. I just measure out cup-sized portions and save. (Either frozen or fresh.)

I usually buy things like watermelon, cantaloupe and pineapple and then cut them up as soon as I get home form the store, put in a plastic container in the fridge so that it is handy and fast for snacks. I also got some Laughing Cow Cheese too, it is already portioned and ready to go.

My husband and I have just started our plan, but having trouble with healthy snacks for us to eat between meals. Something that we can grab, instead of the kids potato chip bag!! He will need to take his to work... if you have any suggestions they will be welcomed :)
