We've all been where you are. There isn't a Spark member who hasn't gained, lost and regained the weight. It happens. What to do ? You start with some simple changes. Don't try to do everything at once or you will end up frustrated.
If you're not used to eating 6-9 servings of fresh fruit and veggies each day, set a goal to eat 2-3 servings each day for one week. If you're not used to drinking 8 glasses of water, set a goal to drink 2-4 glasses each day for one week. If you're not used to regular exercise, set a goal to walk 30 minutes each day for one week. Once you've achieved these goals, you set new ones.
Good health really is as easy as eating your veggies, drinking your water and taking a daily walk. Take the weight off slowly and it will stay off. There are no fast ways to lose weight safely. You didn't gain the weight overnight. it's not coming off overnight. Thus the need to be patient with yourself and your body.
So, why not start with some simple changes ? And you must be patient because you're trying to change habits learned over a life time. that won't happen overnight, a week, a month or a year. That's why we start slowly. we want these changes to stick for life, not the amount of time it takes to lose the weight.
Will you make mistakes ? YES ! We all did. it's part of the learning process. it's okay to be human !!!
Don't worry, you will lose the weight, but you have to start somewhere.

The journey you are embarking on may seem like a mountain...when you look up all you see is how far you need to go which can be overwhelming. However, when you look right in front of you, you have the ability to begin the progress of taking those all-important baby steps to get you up that mountain.
Tracking your nutrition is essential. I really recommend that you take a few days and write down what you ate before you were wanting to lose weight to get an idea of where you are and then begin your plan of action.

Your first step was just realizing that you need to get back on track. Now you have to take back control and break some bad habits. The first two to three weeks have the most temptation for me. Then you should realize your weighloss-weighgain cycle so you can correct it. Your awesome for asking for help and congrats on getting married!!!!

Last year I joined weight watchers for 3 months and lost 30 pounds then i meet my now fiancé(well husband in 2 day!) and i quit because i just felt so comfortable. I've since put on 21 pounds back and feel horrible. I've been trying to get back to losing weight for 3 months and i'm having a hard time. Last time it was so easy I didn't have a bit of problem but i've been trying to lose weight for 8 years and i just don't have the will power. How do i get back to losing again? I have 80 pounds to lose FYI, thanks!!!
