SHAPELYSHELLY, guess what? Coffee (with caffeine, yay) counts as water!!! According to the Sparkpeople dietitian, Becky Hand, you can have 32 ozs of coffee a day and count it as water! That, my friend, was music to my ears.
Also, sounds like your body's response to stress is to stop eating. I understand from book learnin' that eating less is the correct physiological reaction for mammals when confronted with stress. Maybe that's why some people have a weight problem in the first place: Their physiological response is off kilter, and so they eat more.
Oh well, just a thought on a Friday night. Spark On!

Well, congrats on the weight loss! Getting off caffeine is a tough one - be sure to drink a lot of water, cuz it helps with getting through it. Exercise helps, too! Hang in there!
I went off of the res for a while (lol hadn't been able to be on here all of the time) and lost track of everything but due to stress AND eating right i dropped between 15 and 20 pounds. Funny thing was for 2 months i was pulling my pants up more and more and didn't notice i weighed less until I had a weigh in at my doctors (my personal scale broke) and i weighed in at 139; the last weigh in i had i was bouncing between 150 and 155. So getting the weight off is a success not quite the way i wanted to do it but now I'm focusing past the loss and looking towards toning and maintaining a healthy life style. My second Woo Hoo is only having 1 cup of coffee this morning instead of 2!! that's a big thing for me, but now, as I am typing this, my eye lids are drooping and I am yawning. But since there is no caffeine available at the office or at home I am good!
