Where do you live? Its so freakin' hot where i am right now that working out just seems too daunting...even indoors! do you have a work out buddy? it helps to have someone call you up and say, let's due a few miles together, or whatever, or if you can call someone that also needs encouragement, that would help too! Good luck! some days i just want to sit around and watch movies!

sometimes you just need to rest a few days-mix up what you're doing-run every other day & cross-train-weights, biking, swimming-make it fun & not a chore...
some days we won't 'feel' it-those are the days we gotta dig down and do it anyway-just like church-we may go through the motions some days, but in the end, being there consistently pays off.... emoticon

Are you still training for that 5K in august ? Are you finding running boring ? I would continue with your 5k training. Running in a 5K is a great fitness goal and 5Ks are a lot of fun.

Do you have a gym membership ? If so, how about trying a couple of the classes ? If you're losing motivation, that tells me you're getting bored. That means it's time to shake up your routine if you've been doing the same thing day after day. the human body and mind thrives on change and challenge. So, if you're finding the running boring, try some different activities.

Have you ever tried rock climbing ? See if there is a rock climbing gym in your area. take dance lessons. try some new DVDs. Run in a different park or area so that you varying your terrain. go hiking. take martial arts. There are lots of different things you could do to supplement your running.

Variety is the spice of life ! You should enjoy exercise, because when a person enjoys what they do, they look forward to doing that something each and every day.

I was really into working out these past four weeks since I'm training to run a 5K in August, but this week I just haven't been wanting to do anything. I've been tired and slow. Work is helping me burn calories since I've been moving around a lot, but I feel like it's not enough. How can I get motivated again?
