mix tuna, light Italian dressing, onion, celery seed, chopped hard boiled egg and either chopped hot banana peppers mixed in or Philly hot hoagie spread....
Serve as lettuce wrap w chopped tomato and avocado on top (add shredded spinach or herbs on top too), OR Serve as dip with cucumber slices, celery, and carrots OR as a pretty appetizer served on top of cucumber slices or endive leaves....

i like to mix my tuna (packed in water) with some light mayo, 1 hard boiled egg, a little onion, lettuce and wrap it all up in a homemade flour tortilla!
I like tuna raw more than I like it any other way. Weird? Maybe.

I like to make tuna patties with egg whites, a small amount of breadcrumbs, and whatever seasonings I have on hand. Fry it up in a bit of cooking spray and it is delicious!
If eating a cold sandwich, I mix it with miracle whip, chopped pickles, and pepper.

So many good ideas here -- I'll definitely be making a few of these!
My basic tuna recipe is lowfat mayo, mustard, onion, celery, egg whites, salt, pepper. I put it in wraps, sandwiches, salads.
I also like to make open-face tuna melts on English muffins. I just put a small amount of cheddar cheese on top and broil it for a few minutes. And I love to have this with fresh green grapes on the side.!

I chop celery, onion, green pepper, tomato, Old Bay Seasoning, a few spritzes of Wishbone spray salad dressing, and of course, the tuna. Scoop out the pulp of a medium tomato- a halved green pepper also works, fill with tuna mixture. If you prefer something warm, place in pan under broiler a few minutes until warm. Another variation, use a romaine lettuce leaf to place tuna mixture in and use a tuna lettuce wrap.

I like tuna anyway that it's delivered: right out of the can, or mixed with something. It's the magic seafood!

Love the idea adding some fat free dressings to mix it up a bit - love mayo, but try to keep to a minimum!

Mayo and relish on toast or crackers or sometimes, oil and vinegar mixed with Italian spices, grated carrots and shredded spinach on crackers or toast.
I prefer my tuna raw (sashimi) but since you are asking about canned tuna I guess I'd have to say in a cassarole with celery, onion, cream of mushroom soup and noodles. It's one of those classic dinners!
Thanks for the info on rinsing the tuna to reduce sodium Butterbean! I like to make mine into patties seasoned with mayo, a little cheese (if I can for that day), some onion and garlic powder then cook them in a pan with some olive oil. Crispy on the outside and yummy! It sure made eating tuna fun again! lol! You can add peppers and onions or whatever other tuna delight you like before cooking them also.

I love tuna! It is one of my favorite foods - my friends even make fun of me about it. I generally like it in sandwich but I think I could use some creative ideas to spice things up. I really like that you can now buy small tuna cups and tuna and cracker packages. It makes for a great food item to grab on the go.

WOW, A lot of different ways to eat tuna. I think my favorite way is to make a big salad out of it. I take one can of tuna and rinse it. I found out that if you rinse tuna for 1 minute you rinse 76 percent of the sodium out. Some people say that rinses the flavor but if you add pickles, relish, tomatoes eggs and mayo you put the sodium back in plus mor flavor.
I mix my can of tuna with three pickle slices, one plum tomato chopped, half cup shredded lettuce, a fourth cup shredded carrot and onion, enough lite mayo to combine, celery seed, a little sugar and black pepper. That makes about three 1 cup servings or one huge entree serving. I think it is a good balance and you get extra veggies in.
Hope this helps Butterbean

one 5oz can of albacore tuna mixed with 3 wedges of laughing cow light creamy swiss cheese stuffed into 15 of those little phyllo dough shells. Its 143 calories for 5 but I eat 10 of them as a meal with fresh squeezed lemon on the top. I save the other 5 for a snack the next day. These are delicious and the ones that I save for snack taste similar to a crabcake the next day. This is the only way I've been eating my tuna lately.
Miracle whip and a little yellow mustard & kosher salt. usually eat one whole small can (150 calories) over a bed of green salad.

I crumble mine up and mix it in with my salad. I usually use spinach leaves, cucumbers (with the skin), and cherry tomatoes that I grow in my own garden. Adding the tuna just makes the salad a little heartier, and adds protein.
