Welcome to, You will find this will be way more than a weight loss journey. This will be your path to a healthier and happier you! Here are My tips to YOU: I suggest you log in everyday. Acquaint yourself with the tools because they are key in helping you form healthy eating and activity habits. I love the articles and they have helped me more than I could ever say.

Have a blast making your page as it is your fingerprint. Change it up & make it your own. Most of us use it as a form of expression and a major source of motivation for ourselves and others.

Definitely use the Nutrition tracker it is demonstrative in forming healthy eating habits. Be sure to run a report it will give you valuable information to make choices in the future. Don't cheat yourself out of this vital information and the behavior modifying effect it will have on your eating. THE NUTRITION TRACKER REPORT IS VERY POWERFUL STUFF DON'T UNDERESTIMATE IT! Should you ever need support or have any questions, speak up we have more than our share of people who can help you.

Personally, has had a very powerful influence on my eating habits. The improvement is profound and significant primarily because of the articles and nutrition tracker. I am a fitness tracker fan also.

***Read the many success stories to help you stay focused and motivated. This can be found under “Community”.

***Check out Challenge Central. There are many challenges designed to keep you on track such as the Official 10-Minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge, SparkPeople 8-Week Diabetes Weight Loss Challenge, Official 28-Day Bootcamp Workout Challenge, and many others that may interest you. Hi emoticon and congratulations on beginning your Spark journey!

There's so much here to help you along the way and excellent advice to setting and achieving healthy goals. With the thousands and thousands of fellow Sparkers you will always find someone you can connect with. I am always amazed how many lives have been changed for the better through the use of SparkPeople.

If you have not already done so, I suggest that you check out the videos in the "Healthy Lifestyle" section. Scroll down for the site orientation videos.

That should point you in the right direction. I find that if you just start looking around Spark, you will quickly learn about the wonderful tools available for your use. After being a Sparker since 2007, I still find something new and very useful.

Thank you, I look forward to meeting people and learning healthy habits. This is not a decision I took lightly. I did a lot of preparing. I spent a few weeks and a lot of research and bought a treadmill from nordictrack that has the ifit life built in with all the features I need to help me stay motivated to finish workouts. I have to say I LOVE the jillian Michaels workouts on the treadmill .. when she screams I WORK :) I also found all of my old equipment (exercise bike/elliptical, and gazelle) and have all equipment set up in my home. I made sure I put this huge treadmill in my living room so that it stares at me every day to work out :)

In addition to exercising equipment I took the time to focus on the spark people nutrition plan and print the food lists from this site as well as purchase all the foods I need (3 weeks at a time). I feel like I have a strong start to the rest of my life. To top it all off I have 5 days a week (8 hours a day) completely free for myself. I have all my kids in school and my husband works and I'm a stay at home mom. I no longer have any excuses for not doing this.

Welcome to SP. Yes you have a very busy life with all the children you are taking care of and yes you need to take sometime for your self. I think we all have that problem from time to time with the emotional eating plus the things we like the most sometimes call me to eat me. I just have to say I can do this with moderation plus keep on working on my work outs. I am glad you have made the decision to take care of you.i am glad to meet you.

Hello, I am not new to spark people but am new to some features of the site. I joined spark people a few months ago and then had some things happen and I did not get the chance to focus on myself.
Thankfully, I have finally reached the end of my rope with putting everyone else in my life before myself and am 100% focused on changing my life.
I am 30 years old and a mother to 3 biological children and 4 adopted step-children (ages 5-11). I am a stay at home mom and student and have a very busy and fulfilling life.

I have struggled with my weight most my life and recently have admitted that I am very addicted to food. I am a stress/emotional eater and have a lot of difficulty learning how to convince myself that I am a beautiful individual.

I look forward to meeting people here and learning how to change my life. I am certain I will need a lot of support and help learning how to become healthy.
