I wanted to drop in and say hello. I'm a 43 year old Mom of 1 and in October of last year started on a major weight loss journey. I know many people (or so I have been told by many) may think I've taken the easy way out, but I know I haven't... On April 25th of this year I had gastric sleeve surgery. This is not a miracle cure, I have to add diet and exercise or even this won't work for me... As I said my journey started in October of last year when I first saw my surgeon, I weighed over 400 lbs, on the day of surgery I weighed 396 lbs, my last weigh in was on was on May 7th and I weighed in at 376 lbs. 20 lbs down since surgery. My outlook on food has changed, my outlook on life has changed. I am a type II diabetic, I have high blood pressure and asthma... since surgery I haven't had to take any of my diabetic medications or any of my blood pressure medications. I am doing my best to get healthy to live a long life and see my son grow up and one day get to spoil my grand children if GOD so blesses me with any. I hope to get to know everyone and hope to inspire as you inspire me! Thanks "The Loser_Momma" Missy S.
