Well it sounds like while your day wasn't structured ideally, you didn't exactly take in a whopping amount of extra calories.

But tip for the future - NEVER binge the night before someone's going to take your stats. :)

Your BMI is a figure that is based on your weight and height. Weight fluctuates up to 5 pounds daily anyway. Your little over-eating in a few short hours won't really affect your weight any noticeably different than normal variations anyway.

I ate about 1200-1400 calories tonight alone. I hadn't eaten anything all day, except a half of a banana this morning and then consumed everything in sight around 7:30-8:00. I'm super bloated and feel horrible, I just hate when I let this sort of thing happen. Thanks for the info! :)

I think it's important to use the correct terminology. Did you binge eat (meaning you ate 1,000's of calories ABOVE your calorie range) or did you overeat and stay within your range?

If you stayed within your range then you probably did not gain real weight. The scale might show a higher number, but it will just be temporary.

To gain weight you have to eat 3,500 calories above your range.

It's also better to focus on body fat instead of BMI.

Good Luck!

Will my night of binge eating affect my BMI? I didn't eat all day and then binged around 7:30, and I'm supposed to go to the gym tomorrow afternoon for an appointment/consultation with a trainer and I want to know how bad the binge will affect my BMI tomorrow. I've been really stressed lately and this is just another thing to add to the stress, much appreciation for any help. Thanks!
