Getting in at least 30 minutes of cardio 3x a week helps a lot as well as making sure you drink all your water and get enough sleep.

I know it sucks when you are working hard to make healthy choices and you don't see results as fast as you would like to but hang in there. Slow and steady DOES win the race.

I've found that keeping my carbs on the low side, while eating plenty of fresh veggies and lean protein is helping me a LOT. I'm on day 17 and have lost 11 pounds. Of course, everyone's weight loss rate is different. And you ARE losing. But to speed things along a bit, try eating loads of fresh vegetables (not potatoes, obviously, because they are high carb). And don't forget to drink a lot of water...I drink almost 1 gallon each day. Since lowering my carbs, I've noticed a remarkable drop in my fasting blood glucose (from 101 to 74), a lowering of my resting heart rate (from 93 to 60) and a lowering of my blood pressure (from avg 130/90 to avg 124/72). My cholesterol was already in good ranges, and I've not had that tested since beginning to work on weight loss. It seems that before, even eating only 1800 cals a day, I just couldn't lose weight. I think my body was working to store excess sugar intake, and also, instead of burning stored fat, was just relying on ample blood glucose for energy. Now, my body is converting body fat for energy (which is the essence of what weight loss is). Initially, I did feel a bit of jitters and huge sugar cravings, which I countered by eating more protein. But after about 4 days, the jitters and cravings drastically subsided. I hope my experience helps.

2 lbs in 3 weeks is actually pretty good, and a very normal and healthy pace. If you make your sparkpage and food trackers public, I'd be happy to take a look at them to see what you're eating and make suggestions based on that.

Hi, Im the same, 3 weeks ( almost) of tracking and put a kilo on today so 1 kilo in total for 3 weeks, been staying around the lower end of 1200 cals, gonna try a different approach today and eat a lot less, Ive been forcing myself to eat ( protiein mostly, if its low) to get up to calorie range...Obviously not working

I have to lower the bad cholesterol and the weight. I have been tracking what I eat for 3 weeks and only loss 2 pounds. I only have 2 weeks left before the dr appt. Does anyone know what foods to eat to counter act other foods for quicker weight loss? I'm 5' and want to still loose another 8 pounds as my goal
