I freeze meal size servings of hamburger to avoid cooking too much.

I use frozen items as well, especially frozen veggies. The veggies are pretty healthy if they aren't covered in fattening sauce/butter. I buy one particular brand/version a lot because it is very low in fat and yummy tasting and helps me get my veggies in.

I use things like Trader Joe's frozen BBQ Terriyaki chicken breasts from time to time because I don't always have time to cook like I'd like. I wouldn't feel bad at all.

As a busy Mom, I often rely on frozen foods if its a really busy night or if I've had a rough day :-) As someone else said, sometimes frozen may be better than fresh - especially at times during the year when produce isn't as plentiful (or affordable) in the store. As long as you include all the nutrition values and if you like it, why not?

Sometimes frozen food can be healthier than fresh!

The broccoli at the store could have been in transport for days, the frozen broccoli was frozen day of picking, so preserving more nutrients!

I dont see anything wrong with frozen vegetables, especially if you are unsure of your stores quality, Im lucky to have places I trust to shop at.

I'll be having almost exactly that for dinner tomorrow night!

I use the Green Giant Broccoli with Cheese all of the time. It is low in fat and high in taste. I believe as long as you read the packages and it fits with in what you want and can eat there is no problem. As for the chicken go for it! You can do lots with that broccoli and cheese.

Just need a little bit of support. For the past 4 weeks I've been really good about making 2 batches of food starting from fresh ingredients(veggies/meat), and freezing them, so it lasts me through the week (and it is preportioned).

Well I was lazy this weekend (lol) and I have not made anything yet. I have some pre-cooked frozen grilled teriyaki chicken breasts, and frozen broccoli and cheese (y'know the kind that you buy in a bag) in the freezer right now.

Do you think it is okay to consider that a 'healthy' meal? The chicken is not too bad in sodium, really low in fat, and the brocc/cheese is really low in calories.

Do you incorporate frozen pre-cooked foods into your meal planning? How often do you do it? If you consider it any point would you consider it unhealthy?
