I've been on SparkPeople for many years. I recommend it to my patients & students. I have an ongoing workshop that is posted to my team, Sugar & Food Addiction. Next month I'll be starting free webinars to celebrate my new ebook , Sugar...the Hidden Eating Disorder & How to Lick It! These webinars will only be for my team, so if you would like to join us, please let me know.

I'm also inviting my team members to help me teach the tools for managing sugar & food addiction, compulsive & emotional eating....everyone who has ever had this problem ( including myself ) knows how to help others. We are teachers & students at the same time.

Hello ya'll...
I created a Spark page back 1-1/2 years ago when I had the Lap-Band surgery. But I guess I really didn't take it too seriously then...kinda had the mindset the band would be a 'fix' for all the weight gain/loss roller coaster I've remained since I was a teenager. I will just say that I ate 'through the band' or 'in spite of the band' and really didn't change my relationship with food. I expected to be 'full' when I'd eaten just a little, which is true...yet...WELL, let's just say I really have been spinning my wheels. I initially lost about 25+ lbs (only 50 needed to lose to goal)...but got cocky with it as Just the same pattern I always go back to....I have gained probably 18 of the 25 lbs back. I was very disgusted, but this morning came to the realization that I am worth the effort it takes to LOG my meals and stay in contact with some other people with the same problems and the same goals. I am. I need help and I am going to do it differently now....
