Good luck Maddy, I have the same problem with breakfast. Nothing appeals to me.

If you're short on time in the morning, you can make "overnight oatmeal" the night before and just grab n go in the morning. Just combine 1/2 cup oats and 1 cup of milk, water, yogurt, or whatever plus whatever fruit or nuts you like, stir it up and leave it in the fridge until morning. Eat cold.

I am like you...since I have been on my current program, I have been sticking with cereal, applesauce or banana every morning. It works for me, but, I am not a real egg person so I tend to grab non-traditional breakfast foods instead:

* Low fat cheese on a corn tortilla (in the oven for about 5 minutes) can top with salsa or chopped tomoatoes, etc.

* Leftoverrs from the night before

* English muffin pizzas (you can get the light, 100 Calorie ones, top with tomato sauce and low fat or fat free cheese and bake until the cheese melts.

* Lettuce roll-ups (take large bib leaf lettuce leaves or romaine and roll some deli meat in it such as turkey or lean ham, sprinkle on some salsa or mustard and roll up and eat.

* Take a frozen waffle and toast it, spread some peanut butter on it and sliced bananas or strawberries or apples.

* Toast a waffle (or two) and slice into 2" strips...dip in sugar free syrup or low-fat preserves (you can melt the preserves in the microwave for easy dipping)

* Ham & Cheese roll-ups ( take 2 low-fat deli ham slices and lay on a plate. Take 1 low-fat string cheese and pull in half. Place on half on each ham slice and roll up...microwave until cheese is melty)

* Sometimes I just grab a handful of walnuts or almonds and some raisins or dried apricots or cranberries and make my own breakfast trail mix. (you can also add cereal to the mix)

I really like plain greek yogurt topped with nuts or fruit. Oatmeal is also a great option. You can also try making a smoothie. Mix some skim milk, fruit, peanut butter, yogurt, nuts, whatever you fancy, just make sure you keep it healthy and the calories low. That's an easy way to mix it up and rush out the door breakfast in hand!
Just try to go for some protein and fiber to keep you full till your next meal.

Scrambled eggs are super easy. You can mix it up by adding something different to the eggs each day... spinach, tomatoes, mushrooms, whatever you have on hand.

My latest favorite is a breakfast burrito made with:
2 portions Egg Beaters
1 sausage patty crumbled up
1 FlatOut wrap

I also like the Atkins "Advantage" bars. I'm NOT Doing Atkins, but like to keep my carbs in the 100-150g range 'cause I feel better that way. The Peanut Butter Granola bar is tasty, has 14g protein and just 210 calories.

Also like: Fiber One original cereal with un-sweetened Soy milk with a few berries and/or banana.

I like Cherrios with skim milk and some kind of berry, and maybe some yogurt mixed in. Very fast and easy.

I just wanted to add what I have been eating for the last few days for breakfast.
1 hard boiled egg
200gs of Source no fat no sugar yogurt
(my tea)
some fruit (apple, pear, orange, and so on, only one).
I find this amount, while low on the calories, is rather filling.

I keep on hand some individual boxes of raisins and 100 calorie packs of almonds. You can grab and go. I like to take a plastic snack bag with me and mix them together. You can snack on them a little at a time.

Cottage cheese and pineapple
Kashi bar
String cheese
Breakfast wraps- egg and cheese, turkey and cheese
Oatmeal with peanut butter

I love having cold cooked meats with some fruit, super easy and very healthy. Today I had chicken and clementines... ham and melon is wonderful!

Cottage cheese on whole wheat toast and fruit
Whole grain waffles and yogurt
Nut butter wrap
You can always have a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread
Other hot cereals such oat bran or cream of wheat or cold ones that are whole grain and low in sugar. You can have yogurt,soy or regular milk,different fruits to switch things up
Whole grain muffin home made is best with yogurt
English muffin/melted cheese/tomato

I make smoothies with frozen fruit, skim milk, Greek yogurt and a touch of fruit juice.

A whole-wheat bagel with natural peanut butter?

Pancakes? I make a batch on the weekend and freeze them to eat each morning. I use whole-wheat flour and add things like protein powder and fresh fruit to the batter.

Oatmeal. Only takes a few minutes in the microwave.
Yogurt, fruit, and some kind of cereal - just try and avoid the sugarpacked ones. :)

I haven't been eating very healthy breakfasts lately. Like, I'll only have one piece of fruit or one slice of bread. What else could i eat that wouldn't take a lot of time to make? (Keep in mind, I absolutely HATE eggs in any form). Thanks so much for suggestions!!
