Place the basil, garlic, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, pine nuts, olive oil, and salt into a food processor. Pulse until smooth, then pour into a large bowl. Gently stir in chopped artichokes and Parmesan cheese.

Summer time is fresh basil time. I'm looking for dynamite basil pesto recipes, without cheese. a little olive oil ok. For the nuts instead of pinon. I'm looking for a recipe with a few walnuts or sunflower seeds, and has anyone tried adding a teaspoon of ground flax seeds to the usual basil,nut, garlic, olive oil recipe? I'm also looking for a good pesto recipe with artichokes and lemon. Thanks.
