  • How do I manually enter a food?
To manually enter a food (using the Android App):
  1. Tap the hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) in the upper left of the screen.
  2. Tap "Log."
  3. Tap + Add Food for the meal category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, etc.) you want to track food in.
  4. Tap the 3 vertical dots in the upper right of the screen.
  5. Tap "Add Food Not Listed" (use this option to enter the most nutrition information).
    Note: For a very basic entry of calories, carbs, fat, and protein, tap the "Add Quick Entry" button.
  6. Enter the Name of your item, serving size, serving unit, and other nutrition facts.
  7. Tap the “Add Food & Search Again” button at the bottom of the screen OR tap the check mark in the upper right of the screen.
  8. Your food item will now be listed in your Favorites tab on the Nutrition Tracker screen.


To manually enter a food (using the iPhone App):
  1. Tap the SparkPeople logo on the bottom center of the screen.
  2. Tap the Food icon on the left side of the screen.
  3. Tap the pencil+ icon on the top right of the screen.
  4. Tap "Add Food Not Listed" (use this option to enter the most nutrition information).
    Note: For a very basic entry of calories, carbs, fat, and protein, tap the "Add Quick Entry" button.
  5. Enter the Name of your item, serving size, serving unit, and other nutrition facts.
  6. Tap the "Save New Food" button at the bottom of the screen OR tap the check mark in the upper right of the screen.
  7. Your food item will now be listed in your Favorites tab on the Nutrition Tracker screen.
