I'm So Much Healthier Now

110 pounds lost
In 2007, I weighed 260 pounds (the most I ever weighed), was on high blood pressure and high cholesterol medications and, after having routine blood work done, learned that I was in danger of developing diabetes like my father.
So I started exercising and later joined SparkPeople. By 2009, I was 46 years old and 110 pounds lighter!
I am no longer on high blood pressure or high cholesterol medications. I have more energy and I think that my outlook on life in general has greatly improved.
Fitness is still a struggle for me to do consistently. I am trying to not fall back into the old way of talking myself out of it and such. I feel so much better after I do work out so I remind myself of that when the old voice starts to creep in.
When times get tough, I tell myself: Stick with it....NO MATTER WHAT. Don't get discouraged. There will be set-backs and slow times. It isn't going to happen overnight (it took me 22 months to lose the weight that I lost). Never lose sight of the prize! If I can do it, ANYONE can!
I also keep my before picture on my phone for those bad days. I look at it and remember how far I have come and to remind me of all that I have done.
