I have two daughters myself..unfortunately they are like night and day...my oldest can eat whatever she wants and never gain and ounce and my youngest who is only 6 is already battling a small weight problem. I don't want her to be teased, kids can be so cruel...I'm trying my best to teach them both wonderful, healthy eating habits and I'm trying to get outside and be active with them somehow, everyday :)

Surround Yourself with Positive People and Actions
We cannot choose our families, but we can choose HOW we deal with our family members with positive attitude and words. If family members are negative and give you negative feedback about anything in your life--turn the negatives into a positive by either NOT responding to the negative OR by saying, "I understand how you feel" and leave it at that. Family members may not provide positive feedback, but you can be proud of all your accomplishments--small or big changes.
