you are sitting now, watcing the TV, reading,
Just move from your place and just do 5 mins exercise
just 5 mins.

thinking that it is just only five mins, will motivate you to exercise, you will never think of the five mins as a big effort

this will extend to more, until you reached to 30 mi

    Those minutes that commercials are on can be used to walk in place. Given how many commercials they play back-to-back.....you can get in hundreds of steps and use up some calories.

    Great idea I have done this. Also cleaning a closet or back room I can do in 5 min. increments too - which I always end up doing longer. Five minutes rule!!

    I so tend to separate the exercise from the 'tv time' - great suggestion!

    Great idea. I do 5 min leg exercises before I get out of bed. Since I cannot do floor
exercise, have two artificial knees this is helpful to me. Have never counted this, but will now and add to my other movements or walk for the day. emoticon

    This is one of my tricks - I will decide to go for a 'short' walk with my dog. I'll tell myself "just a short walk to the stop sign and back" - then next thing you know I'm walking for 25-60 minutes. For me, it's easy to make a simple goal and then 'overachieve' it. I end up feeling much better for it!
